- NO TRANSCEIVERS INCLUDED - TWO OPEN SFP+ SLOTS, ANY BRAND - Both cages are standard SFP+ and unlocked, so you fit whatever the two ends of the link need: 850nm SR, 1310nm LR, 1550nm ER/ZR, CWDM or DWDM, from any vendor. Nothing is coded to a brand. Hot-swap the modules without powering down.
- MODE AND WAVELENGTH CONVERSION IN ONE BOX - Put a multimode module in one slot and a single-mode module in the other and the unit converts between them. The same applies across wavelengths: 850nm to 1310nm, 1310nm to 1550nm, and into CWDM or DWDM grids. Match the SFP+ to each end of the link and the box handles the rest.
- OEO 3R REPEATER: RE-AMPLIFY, RE-SHAPE, RE-TIME - This is not a passive coupler. The signal is converted optical-electrical-optical and fully regenerated: amplitude restored, waveform reshaped, clock re-timed. That is what extends a long-haul span past the reach of a single module instead of simply passing a degraded signal along.
- SAVE A FIBER STRAND - DUAL FIBER TO SINGLE FIBER - Put a standard duplex module in one slot and a BiDi/WDM single-fiber module in the other, and a two-strand link becomes a one-strand link. On leased or buried fiber where strands are the constraint, this halves what the run consumes.
- TRANSPARENT AT 8.5 TO 11.7 GBPS - PROTOCOL AGNOSTIC - The path is transparent and low-latency across the full 8.5-11.7 Gbps range: 10G Ethernet, 10G LAN (10.31G), 10G WAN, 8.5G and 10G Fibre Channel, SONET OC-192, SDH STM-64, OTN OTU-2 (G.709) and 10G LAN with FEC (11.09G). Jumbo frames supported.
